Founded in 2020, TGU trains church leaders and gospel workers around the world through evangelical theology and practical mission experience.
TGU was established as a Korean branch of Chilchil International University (CCGU) of India, through a joint-degree program with CCGU.
The school began its early ministry as an institution that intensively trained doctoral students from universities across India. It educated not only the students sent by Indian universities but also missionaries serving around the world, providing retraining and doctoral studies. It also sought out respected missionaries who had served faithfully on the mission field for many years and awarded them honorary doctorates, in recognition of their encouragement, labor and devotion, and committed itself to more effective mission work.
Honorary doctorates were conferred jointly with the president of CCGU.
The school signed an MOU with Harvest University to share all of Harvest University's existing systems (website, library, and more), and agreed to operate as a tuition-free seminary nurturing future leaders with spiritual depth from nations around the world.

First, we aim to provide free online education to future leaders in Southeast Asia, Africa, and other regions who have been unable to receive training because of difficult circumstances. In doing so, we follow the Lord’s words: “Freely you have received, freely give.”
